The Classic Juice Cleansing
Juice cleanses are an easy way to give your body a kick-start on health. Juice cleanses are perfect whenever you feel like you need a little healthy boost. Make a juice with the following ingredients that have worked best for me, and feel the body smile from within!
Spinach:
Known for its cleansing abilities, spinach purifies the blood and eliminates accumulated toxins from the cells and if that wasn’t enough, it also helps to regenerate and rebuild the body.
Apple:
Full of anti oxidants, apples keep your liver, skin and heart healthy. In fact you can include the peel too, which has high anti-cancer properties.
Lemon:
There is nothing like a fresh lemon. It is full of Vitamin C, and gives your liver the cleansing it requires on a daily basis. A healthy liver means a healthy and fit body.
Ginger:
Its brilliant for digestion and is anti inflammatory.Ginger is a wonder spice.
Celery:
Known as one of the most healthiest foods, celery reduces inflammation, relieves you off stress, aids digestion and is known to be full of vitamins.
Hello my favs… I am happy that some of you guys have tried out my fitness tips. But apart from these posts try researching a bit yourself. Try coming up with your own plan. Knowledge is power. This week I have a DIY recipe for you all *Woot Woot*. Presenting to you – the healthy open sandwich with sweet potato chips.
recipe:
You will need Whole Wheat or Multigrain Bread.I used home baked (microwave) gluten free bread that also had flax and sunflower seeds.
(Try reading the calorie counter when you buy bread and get one that has less than 50 gms of carbs per 100 gms). Diced onions, sweet corn or baby corn, diced tomatoes, coloured peppers (red, yellow, green), olives, paneer, tofu or chicken, Low Fat cheese, fresh or dried herbs, Honey, Musturd sauce or some homemade chutney or pesto.
Sauté the vegetables in a pan or cook the chicken or protein of your choice in very little olive oil and season with salt, pepper and herbs like parsley or thyme or oregano. On a toasted slice of bread spread the sauce (Homemade honey musturd or chutney or pesto). Heap up a scoop of the cooked mixture on the bread top with some low fat cheese (I split one slice into 2, or just skip it and drizzle some chilli oil instead) sprinkle some dried oregano and microwave it for 20 seconds.
For the sweet potato chips
cut one scrapped sweet potato in the shape of your choice, thinner the better. In a bowl mix olive oil, salt, chilli flakes (if you like it a little hot) Mix it all together, let the chips be covered well with the olive oil. Spread them individually out on a baking tray and bake them. I honestly microwaved them for about 25 mins (turn the chips after 15 mins) and they turned out pretty good. If not then just boil it or roast it, turn it into a mash – However you like. Yummy in my tummy and super healthy too! ✌️😎❤️

Hello you smiling festive people, I hope my last few posts have been helpful. These are things that worked for me. Today, I am sharing what I eat in the second half of the day 😎
At around 4-4.30pm, I eat half a papaya or an apple / pear / guava. After an hour or so, I have a cup of green tea with few almonds or walnuts. Around 7:00pm, I have a big bowl of salad with all salad greens, maybe add an apple, and some walnuts or some dried berries if seasonal ones are unavailable – dressed with olive oil and balsamic vinegar or some olive chilli oil with garlic and mustard, or some apple cider vinegar. I try and make this fun, so at times I add grilled chicken or feta cheese. By 8.30pm, I have my dinner which is usually grilled fish or chicken (there are a lot of easy-to-make recipes available on the internet. Keep experimenting!). On days I want to eat a vegetarian meal, it is usually fresh, grilled or slightly pan cooked paneer / tofu, stir fried or steamed vegetables (seasoned as you like) with a small cup of brown rice or a thin multi-grain roti. I try eating as less carbs as possible at night.
Don’t get intimidated by the regime.Try and come up with a schedule that works for you 🙂 Eating right and working out in the correct manner is the only way to do it, people.

Hello lovelies! This week, I am sharing with you few of my favourite healthy snacks for the times when the cravings get the better off me. It’s always good to avoid junk food and opt for these yummy but healthy options instead! Just to let you know, as I will be getting busy with my new film, #LoseItLikeBhumi might not be a regular feature here. I will certainly be sharing tips / treats as and when I find them.
Berry smoothie – Pour a glass of water into the mixer and add 2 tablespoons of yogurt. Add one teaspoon of honey and fresh berries of all kinds into it. Blend them together and enjoy!
Yoghurt cubes – You can pour a homemade smoothie into the ice cubes. Pour the strawberries shake into the ice tray and freeze it. You can make it a slushy and eat it up. The best cold snack ever!
Other healthy alternatives are: Kale & Soya chips (I totally love them!), whole wheat lavash with hummus, or even dry roasted grains like puffed bajra.
BTW, if you are really craving, you can have a piece of dark chocolate – the darker the better. Chocolate made with at least 70% cocoa contains less sugar and more antioxidants.
It is okay to give in to your cravings once in a while, but do remember to stay wise and stay healthy!
