Jyothika who was last seen in 36 Vayadhinile is currently playing the lead role in Magalir Mattum directed by Bramma of Kutram Kadithal fame. Thalapathy 61 team said that they were in talks with the actress to enact an important role, but however the actress opted out of the project and Nithya Menon was finalised to play the character.
If sources close to the director are to be believed, the actress has okayed a script which is to be directed by Bala. National award winning director Bala is known for his signature movies like Sethu and Naan Kadavul. However the director recently announced that his next project will not fall under his type of movies and will be an altogether different film in his filmography.
Sources also say that he will be co producing the movie under his banner B Studios which produced Mysskin’s Pisaasu.
