Based on the old Japanese “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” (though the concept originated in China by Confucius, where it was shortened and brought over to Japan) • Ps. I chose Draco because he was so blind to all the faults and problems of his world until the last two books. I just like him better as a character; there’s just more development and depth to me. Apologies for breaking up the golden trio 😆~ I debated with myself for a while today whether I should change it to Ron but I decided to stick with Draco and his narcissus flowers. You can think of this as the people who were trapped in Malfoy Manner~ – Pps. Hermione’s got peonies, representing the riches and wealth of her mind which is coming out of her ears. Her theme doesn’t have as much to do with deafness as much as the other two’s speechless or blindness…except perhaps if her parents knew she was going to obliviate them, their protests would’ve probably fallen upon deaf ears…. – Ppps. Harry has lilies, and it’s over his mouth representing the way he had no say over his life and by the end everyone was trying to silence him (“I shall not tell lies”). • • • I wish I had more time to do my own stuff this week but I got a deadline for the book cover coming up~~ and it’s penguin publishing so i didn’t wanna say no xD~
