Happier with my style nowadays for the face. Though I don’t see these things as improvement as much as i see them as style journeys…..for better or for worse.
On the other hand, the small space I’m always drawing on in the past 2 years seems to have culminated in a bigger head to body ratio 😂~ just so i’d be able to get more details on the face and yet be able to fit a decent part of the body in as well…damn, I gotta start drawing on bigger paper again….

I MADE IT! Just in time for the last day of #mermay 😂😂~~ always wanted to try the dress-like type of mermaid~ the frills were really fun to draw 😍
I haven’t drawn properly in a few months so I’m losing control of my hands a little bit. Especially cause brush pens are so hard to control and I got really used to drawing by turning the paper round all the time. Can’t really do that much when I’m filming myself xD;;.

Some practice. I used to love going to actual life drawing sessions, with conte and newsprint in hand and fighting for seats (where are my Sheridan folks at? Lol).
I gotta practice more holding the pencil this way haha. This kind of pencil holding is really good for larger pieces since the movement originates from the wrist~

I know there’s a weird stigma around nude art, especially on a mostly-none-artist site like Instagram, but…I dunno; I’ve always found the human form so beautiful. I hope those of you guys who dislike it can sort of feel what I feel when I draw the human form, watching this video 😊.
For me it’s nothing sexual or even sensual, trying to find the right stroke along the blank paper and seeing where the form is…it’s just beautiful ✨✨. Well, when it turns out right hahaha 😆

Haven’t practiced my violin in years now and there’s not a lot of recordings of me playing the violin tbh, cause I’ve got severe stage fright and just didn’t perform much in general other than for competitions….
I started playing the violin when i was 3 years old (learned to read music before i could read hahaha), and I kinda stopped when I became serious about art and poured basically all my time into art instead. (also, I absolutely detest practicing the violin lol. Seriously, 2-4 hours a day which includes 1 hour for scales and studies is just like…torture… so much harder than practicing art. SO much more tedious). One thing i have to say about learning a violin like this is that I learned a lot of discipline. After the rigorous violin practices of, seriously, i had to do at least 2 hours a day as far as I could remember, practicing art and going to life drawing is practically heaven hahaha xD~

On the other hand, I’ve had a very severe pet peeve case of disliking drawings with badly held string instruments ever since I could remember 😅💦💦
