The team of Vijay 61 who is all set to start their next schedule in Chennai later this month had signed another comedian as to be a part of the project. Yogi Babu who proved his mettle in films like Aandavan Kattalai and other recent movies has been signed as the third comedian in the movie.
It is said that Vijay will be donning three different getups for three different roles in the movie. Schedules that included portions of Nithya Menen and Kajal Agarwal were completed in India and Europe respectively. The team which is currently on a break will start shooting for their next schedule by the month end which will reportedly have Samantha in the lead.
While Nithya, Kajal and Samantha are playing three lead female roles, Vadivelu and Sathyan are signed to play important roles in the movie so far. The team has already announced that the crew will release the first look of the movie on 22nd of June to commemorate the birthday of Vijay.
While the release of the movie was scheduled for some time in October, the makers have pushed the release date to Diwali this year after Rajinikanthās 2.0 drew back from releasing on Diwali. The audio launch of the movie is expected to happen sometime in August.
Academy award winner A.R.Rahman has composed tunes for the film while Vijayendra Prasad of Baahubali fame has scripted the movie for director Atlee. The movie is being funded by Thenandal Studios Limited andĀ #Vijay 61 marks the 100th film to be produced under their banner.
