Daniel Gillies Instagram – the road to Bidi Bidi.

the largest refugee settlement in the world, it’s estimated size is around 56 square kilometers.

what strikes you is how incredibly resourceful its inhabitants are. not only have they built dwellings and started small crops… but there are markets, stores, churches and schools.
it’s like a collective defiance against the adversity.

there’s a desperate shortage of food and medical supplies, among many other things…. they’re not victims.
they’re survivors.
