Nikolaj Coster-Waldau Instagram – Camping on the greenland icecap with my brother in law peter from greenland and a small danish filmcrew from DR1. Peter had been at same location 12 years ago. Since then the icecap here had retreated 100 m and dripped 50 m . Climate change is seen all over the world and the Greenlandic icecap is like the canary in the coalmine. Letting us know we have to take action. Huge thanks to all the airmen and women and to all the danish and greenlandic civilians working here , to the scientists that make Thule airbase a unique and vital part of not only our international security but also a place of intense research. Honored to have met you all and thanks for sharing not only your expertise and knowledge but also your generosity, kindness and laughs. My dad worked here when I was a boy.
