Emily Kokal Instagram – first sunrise in the new home 🧡 thinking about the babies and the families longing for each other right now. And all the pain and suffering all across the planet. They are our children, they are our parents, and we’re feeling for them with all our hearts. They are also our brothers and sisters even when we don’t agree with their politics, and have difficulty understanding the inhumanity of these people “in power” making fear-based moves every damn day. We can’t separate ourselves from each other, creating more divisiveness from the uncomfortable truth, holding onto hostility that subsequently keep us from experiencing the deeper joys and love of humanity. Keeping an open heart means taking it all in. The good and the bad. We are each other. Our struggle, or darkness, our madness, our humor, our love…it belongs to all of us. Keeping awareness and just doing what you can to embody those things you value and wish to see in other people is your power, and also..on another tip, where you put your money is your power. Let’s just take care of ourselves so we can take care of each other with compassion, strength, and understanding.
