This is my List of gratitude, sorry for rambling but this must be done 🙂 -Extremely grateful for all the love and appreciation for my films #Awe #MLA #Kavacham and look forward to the releases coming up #ParisParis #Indian2 #Sita #Comali -The genuine and grounded people I met along the way, caught up with trusted old friends and made some fabulous new ones. -Sadhguru for your blessings and helping me connect with my inner self (its a long journey and I’ve not even seen the surface as yet but I’m so excited!) -Personally, god’s been kind and I’m in the pinkest of health after a slightly scary start to the year. -I’m extremely grateful for my amazing family and friends without who I wouldn’t be as motivated and complete.
-My baby ISHAAN, my joie de vivre. Life has taken on a whole new meaning after him.
-A chance to further strengthen my bond with the land that gave me everything, in my own little way, this made me run a marathon in January (I’d never have done it otherwise! And now I’m fully addicted)
The time I spent contemplating and reflecting upon how I want to envision my life and grow further.
The time I spent working, learning from the best and sharpening my skill. Also, adding new skill (my favourite part is always this!) There’s so much joy in expanding your potential.
The books I read, travels, places that I was fortunate to explore, and the most exciting has been the wonderful adventures. Some planned and many, totally unexpected!
This is what truly keeps me going.

This has been a year to remember! I have used this post as an opportunity to re-collect many of the important people, events, places and happenings in 2018.
At the outset I want to say how mindful I am that the blessing of this year comes from the many wonderful people and communities that I am priviliged to be associated with. I have received much more than I deserve, and in many instances, been recognised for work that belongs to a group of persons, not just to me. I am also mindful that any achievement is only worthwhile if it can lead to service. My hope is that the work of this year bears fruit for my extended family of fans, the industry I proudly call mine, for people all over the globe, and in some small way may help us to honour and protect the dignity and sanctity of humans and creation. #2daysto2019

“I’m close to everyone in my family, but I’ve always been ferociously protective of my younger sister. Growing up, we were really close since we barely had an age gap. We had common friends, shared clothes & fought over them!
We had petty fights–the AC remote would take the brunt of it because we’d have different temperature preferences. It was the same with our perspectives as well–I was the emotional & sentimental one while she was practical & logical. She’s been the yin to my yang.
There were so many times where I’ve been her bodyguard & she’s been my partner in crime. If a boy would tease her, I’d stand up for her, if I had to sneak out to meet friends after curfew, she’d cover for me.
I can’t think of a single time, even if we weren’t talking post a mini war, where I couldn’t go to her. She’s one person who I trust with my life.
Even when I started my career in films, she was my sound board–I’d bounce ideas, aspirations, insecurities, heartbreaks & she’d patiently listen, giving me earnest feedback. Sometimes she’d just listen. Because all I needed was a ‘I know, it sucks.’ She’d just get it.
When she met her husband, Karan–I gave him the older sister warning, telling him that if he brought her home after curfew or ever upset her, he’d have to answer to me. But he quickly warmed his way in our hearts & family, stealing my best friend & soulmate away….but, I couldn’t be happier!
When my sister was about to get married, I remember we were all at our place for one last night, I locked the door & told my sister ‘It’s your last night as an Aggarwal! Let’s live it to the fullest!’ And that night we shared our oldest memories.. bawled like babies, but also assured each other that no matter what, our relationship will never change.
It hasn’t…she’s happily married now with a baby & we’re still partners in crime. We laugh over absolutely inane nothings, enjoy our chai sessions, talk about books & movies. We’re poles apart, but the things that matter– our values, our love for family & each other remain the same. It didn’t matter when I was 17 & I’m sure it wouldn’t when I’m 70, I know who my 3 a.m call was & always will be!” @officialhumansofbombay

I’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to write this, and I think that the tail end of 2018 is just that moment. I am in absolute awe of how lucky I am to have the compassionate, engaged following I do.
Everyday, no matter what is happening, you have a clever, or compassionate, response waiting. It is safe to say that something that started as a way to connect with fellow industry people and post messages to my audience, has turned into one of the most loving communities I have ever witnessed on social media.
Not only have you been receptive and supportive towards me, you have extended that grace to each other in interactions that have absolutely nothing to do with me. I have seen everything from two of my followers embracing each other during tragic times, to a group of followers lamenting over something they have in common, whether it be geographic or emotionally.
So, THANK YOU, for being one of the most engaged, empathetic and intelligent group of followers a girl could ask for. You have helped me through some pretty major changes in my life, making sure that I get to the other side safe and sound. That is something I will never be able to repay you for. Xo.
