The Shanghvi Salon is a “conversation series” hosted by writer Siddharth Dhanvant Shanghvi whose past guests have included actor Jaya Bachchan, Booker Prize winner Anne Enright and photographer Roger Ballen. Shanghvi will be in conversation with the hugely celebrated actor and “cancer graduate” Lisa Ray who will launch her book, Close to the Bone, which illuminates the processes she underwent to come through cancer and back to the energising forces of the written word. Ray and Shanghvi’s talk will be followed by a music reprisal by the fabulous Groove Dakshina, who will perform music that responds to the theme of survival and of, well, pure, unrelenting joy.
