Adoption can be a wonderful thing – but make sure you are ready for the responsibility. A lot of times the dogs that are surrendered to the shelter are because folks didn’t go in with “eyes open” about the responsibility of caring for a living being. Consider volunteering your time with a rescue or shelter first!
