A memory that popped on my wall from 8 years ago when my boy was jus a month old..My heart melted seein this pic but also a sense of awakening dawned upon me.. I realize I spend my entire day for him..It revolves around him..Right from waking up ..packing his lunch box,dropping him and then I get 6 hours to myself where I go work out,cook for him and time just flies..then its pick up from school.I soon find myself yelling at him to complete his meal on time..Home work on time and then again we are racing against the clock and I’m chaffeuring him to various classes..in a wink its dinner,shower and bed time again..if am not pmsing or If I’m in a nice mood (seldom happens these days with so much of pressure around)then during bed time we catch up chat and giggle..
And this whole dramatics repeats itself in a loop and hes already grown up so much…I feel bad I’ve missed out so much already..constantly trying to balance life, work ,friends,family..I feel I need to remove those imaginary wheels off my legs and slow down and enjoy him..coz ironically although I am with him most of the time Quality time is missed coz of our robotic lives.. Thought I’d share this coz I know many of us moms can relate to this feeling.. As this realization dawned upon me when I dropped him at school this morning I dint hurry and whisk him out of the car instead I paused smiled and kissed him bye..and OMG that child of mine had the biggest smile.. “Life is good..Love is good..”
SLOW DOWN mommy ..We shouldn’t be racing against the clock..
