When I first heard about the book •Close to the Bone• , I knew it was going to be a great read. After all, it was a personal memoir of this gorgeous woman many of us still remember as the *Afreen Girl* ! 😍
But what came to me as a complete surprise (but a delightful one) was the soul-baring , exceptionally detailed & vivid , honest and completely unfiltered account of this Diva’s personal life !
So unexpected , and so refreshing !!

Iv just finished reading the book @closetothebone.book and Lisa is quite a storyteller ! It actually felt more like a conversation . The deep- personal ,one on one kinds that happens over a bottle of wine .. The kind- where this person that you have always known as an “Invincible Star” , opens up about her struggles ,her confusion over life’s existential questions , her insecurities , her battle with Bulimia & the big C and her self discovery journey that’s hard to imagine even existed for someone like her ! And THAT – only makes her More Relatable , More Real ,More Beautiful , More Human! A Stronger and Braver version of herself ! .
