Lisa Ray Instagram – I have been fortunate to have found formidable female mentors in my life at just the moment when I needed them. Neelam Mansingh has mentored not only me, but possibly thousands of others. A celebrated theatre director and teacher of the performance arts, she also happens to be one of my favourite people in the world. This trip to Chandigarh was elevated by a long awaited visit. I’ve written about Neelam in #ClosetotheBone. For those readers- here she is, a woman of delicacy and fierce artist fortitude who prepared me for my role in #Water bestowed me with a visual and emotional vocabulary and has influenced my artistic arc in so many ways I can’t even articulate.
