On September 20th, millions of us are going to strike from work and school for the #globalclimatestrike to demand action be taken to address the climate crisis. Go to the link in my bio or globalclimatestrike.net to find a strike near you. We need EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU to fight for our future… it is up to us to turn this crisis around✊🏼🌎 #strikewithus #fridaysforfuture –

Happy #WorldOceansDay! Our oceans face daily threats, like offshore drilling, species extinction, and toxic pollution. BUT, there are ways to help ensure a future for them. Join @nrdc_org to do your part by texting OCEANS to 21333 and Sign the link in my bio to tell the Trump administration to take action to protect our oceans!
Hey guys. Quick story time. I know I am constantly posting about the environment and trying to educate about what is happening and ways to solve it, but the bottom line is you’re going to swipe through this post and go look up some celebrity couple or who booked the next role in some TV series. This is the last stage. This is the tipping point for humanity. If you would just watch this incredible and absolutely inspiring video in the next slide, I promise you it will all make sense of why I’m so persistent about saving our planet. The video is called “50 minutes to Save the Planet,” and I know it’s a little long but instead of watching that David Dobrik vlog, take 50 minutes to watch this film because if you do, you won’t want to swipe to that next meaningless post. We have one chance to change things, or else oxygen masks and a pretty grim future is on the horizon. HOWEVER, there is so much we can do right now such as eliminating single use plastics in your home, and donating to the charities in the film. Don’t just swipe to that next post… watch the film and get fricken involved if you give any f’s about having a future on this beautiful planet. Go follow @savethereef and @karmagawa to learn more. The end

I’m sure a lot of you are feeling scared hearing that the #amazonrainforest has been on fire for the last 16 days, and I am too. The Amazon is the earth’s lungs, and not only produces 1/5 of the worlds oxygen, but is one of the largest carbon sink. This means these fires are releasing that carbon into our atmosphere right now, and this will effect everyone. BUT there still is so much you can do right now: SWIPE to see some ways that will actually make a difference!
HERE ARE A FEW IMPORTANT NOTES, BUT I BEG YOU TO LOOK MORE INTO THESE AND DONATE!
– Donate to @rainforestactionnetwork to protect an acre of the Amazonian rainforest.
–
For an emergency response to the Amazon, donate to @amazonfrontlines who protect millions of acres of land in the Amazon –
Donate to the @rainforesttrust to help buy land in the rainforest. Since 1988, the organization has saved over 23 million acres and counting.
–
STOP EATING MEAT (especially beef). Meat is responsible for about 10% of the global emissions
–
Make sure you are buying @rainforestalliance certified products, and donate to them because they make sure farming practices are sustainable!

We need to appreciate all the young activists out there who are at the frontlines right now striking and fighting for our future. There should be more media recognition for those making these strikes possible, and those who are experiencing these effects and working to make a difference. I was honored I got to meet some of these inspiring activists who described to me the importance of making sure they get the exposure and attention they DESERVE! Thank you for all you have been doing for our planet, for this movement, and for our generation! You all inspire me 💚🌎✌🏼(obviously there are more groups/kids, so please @ yourself below!) – 📷: for 1) @fff.nyc @felixkunze & @diego_rojasrey –

Absolutely shocking. Glaciers and ice are extremely more important than most people may think: not only will it lead to ocean rising, but it causes a positive feedback loop (shout out my APES class) which causes the planet to heat even more, due to the ice being a “reflector” of the sun, and as it melts it will begin absorbing more heat, therefore leading to higher temperatures. We can’t do nothing even if it feels hopeless. Please start getting serious, we don’t have time to wait.
