South actress @nikki_tamboli to make her Bollywood debut opposite a star kid!
Though actress Nikki Tamboli has made her mark in South Indian films, she does not wish to restrict herself to just one industry. She will soon make her Bollywood debut opposite a star kid. The actress, who was recently seen in Raghava Lawrence’s Kanchana 3, is also awaiting the release of her next South project.
Nikki, who doesn’t want to reveal too many details about her Bollywood debut, says, “The movie is being directed by Rajesh Bajaj, who is the writer of the National Award-winning film Chillar Party. He has seen my work and feels that I can pull off the role that he has in mind.” Nikki is currently following a strict fitness regime to prepare for her role. According to the buzz, the upcoming film is based on a bold subject that the audience can watch with their families as it will be handled sensitively. Nikki, who didn’t plan to become an actress, says that films happened to her by fluke. She seeks acting inspiration from South Indian actress Nayanthara. “I like how Nayanthara gets into the skin of every character that she portrays on screen,” says Nikki.
When asked if Bollywood projects will be her priority henceforth, she clarifies, “I started my career with South Indian films and have now been approached for a Bollywood movie. I will work wherever my craft takes me. I want to be a part of good cinema, and it doesn’t matter whether they are South Indian projects or Bollywood films.”
