#ClimateAction requires us to understand that we need to draw our awareness to our consumption patterns.
I have been seeking meaning over material. When it’s a matter of doing what is fair and just by the planet, choose a narrative that celebrates the human story of fair working conditions, of craft, of heritage and textiles, dyes that is natural. That to me is sustainable fashion.
This particular saree is natural indigo dyed and been woven in the villages of Bengal in India. It has also been inspired and based on the age old craft practices from the region, keeping in mind it’s identity. This saree is called ‘Juhi’ which means white jasmine flowers which grow quietly in the autumn evening in Bengal.

Here’s what I celebrate about myself 🙂 It took a while to get here but I find that my path is now defined by passion and purpose. Be it the work that I do as an actor/producer or the work I do for conservation and sustainable development.
For the past 11 years as a public personality, I’ve tried to use every platform of communication to help more people understand the importance of wildlife conservation and environmental protection. Our health and well-being are deeply interlinked with the health of the environment. When we harm the environment, we are in fact harming ourselves.
Together, we need to work towards conservation of nature, tackle climate change and inspire more people to live responsibly!
I celebrate myself for steering through every storm with steady hands. And never allowing the obstacles in my path to dissuade me from forging ahead. I am the #masterofmaterials like my @rado. #AD

We celebrated the brave, the innovative, the most wonderful citizens of our planet at the @unenvironment #EarthChamps awards last Thursday. This was my 3rd consecutive year as host and I have to share with you that this is the most inspiring evening of the year for me! @fridaysforfuture and @gretathunberg shook the room with their remarkable stand when they won #EarthChamp for Inspiration and Action.
I had the honour of introducing our #YoungChamps this year, 7 extraordinary young citizens of the planet. Incidentally 6 of the 7 winners are women 🙌🏼💚 Here’s who they are:
1.North America: Molly Burhans. She won the award for pioneering digital mapping and bringing big data for restoration to the world’s largest land owners — starting with the Catholic Church. She dares to map the future, she dares to use land for environmental good.
2.Asia and the Pacific: Sonika Manandhar, @sonikamanandhar
won the award for honing big data to make electric transport more efficient and accessible, especially for women. She dares to ride the future, she dares to go fossil fuel free.
3. Asia and the Pacific, Louise Mabulo, @louisedgmabulo
She won the award for boosting farmers’ income through climate-resilient cocoa. She dares to feed the future and make our own sustainable produce.
4. Europe: Marianna Muntianu
She won the award for making virtual trees a reality through her mobile game “Plant the Forest”. She dares to bring forests to LIFE.
5. Africa: Adjany Costa
She won the award for her efforts to conserve precious water and biodiversity hotspots in Angola. She dares to protect our last wild places.
6. Latin America & the Caribbean: Anna Luisa Beserra
She won the award for her device which disinfects rainwater captured in cisterns through solar radiation. She dares to drink the future, dares to conserve every drop.
7. West Asia: Omar Itani
He won the award for his pioneering work to establish the region’s first upcycling and clothing redistribution hub. He dares to wear the future, he dares to wear sustainable fashion.
