Happy Mother’s Day in Heaven, Mom. You were the best person I’d ever known in my life. Kind, sweet, funny, and pretty. I know we didn’t have much growing up but you always made the most of what we did have. Homemade clothes, home grown food, and hand me downs..you made everything seem amazing and always did without so we could have stuff. So many sacrifices you made. And always that pretty smile stayed on your face. I miss you Mom. You really were the best of humans.

Merry Christmas Mom. I think about you and miss you all the time but Christmas is especially hard. I tried to make your fudge this year and it was garbage. I miss your boxes of delicious homemade fudge I would get from you every year. I know you beat huge batches of fudge for us until your arm was numb. I was always so excited to get that box of fudge in the mail. I could smell it before I even opened it up. I remember taking this picture of you in your kitchen at Christmas not long before you died. I wish you were here. I miss you so much Mom. I know you’re not supposed to cry on Christmas and you wouldn’t want me to but I can’t help it. I’ll keep trying to make your fudge correctly and one day I’ll get it right. I love you forever. Merry Christmas.
Mom and me in Brazil. I had to film something there so I took her with me. It was her first and only time ever traveling outside the country. She was so excited and happy. Everyone on set loved her. I remember it rained hard our first night there and she didn’t even care. She never stopped smiling she was so happy to be there with me. Our hotel had open air showers and she was so amazed by that. She talked about that trip for years and still remembered every detail of it, talking about it after she got sick shortly before she died. I wish I had recorded her talking about it while she was sick. She remembered everything from what we ate each day to the name of the makeup lady on set. Sure do miss you mom. What I would give to relive just one day of that trip with you. Friends, life is short. Don’t waste a single day with those you love. The only thing that can never be replaced is time. Don’t waste it.
When times were simpler. No cell phones, no internet, no obligations, no nothing. Just Christmas nightgowns and bunny slippers with my big sister at our grandmother’s house. Sometimes I wish I could just rewind the clock. Even for a day. It’s gone in an instant. #christmas #family #memories

Volunteering at the Los Angeles Mission is, for me, an honor. To be granted a chance to give back and help someone less fortunate…to be in a position to bring a smile to someone’s day..is a gift. The people who come to enjoy a meal there are friendly and interesting to talk to. I look forward to lending a hand again this Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. Thank you @thelamission for always letting me help out all these years. I encourage everyone to volunteer at your local mission or soup kitchen. Even for just an hour.
Today we lost the greatest dog in the entire world. We rescued him 12 years ago. Hank, we love you and miss you bitterly already. I can’t believe you’re really gone. Can’t stop crying.
