This year @dressember has 8 new dresses in their collection made by women working at @elegantees. Elegentees provides a dignified working environment paying employees 2-3 times the minimum wage in order for overcomers of human trafficking to help stabilize a new, independent life for themselves. I was asked to design one of the dresses, which was such an honor! Check out more of the designs on the Dressember website and learn about their fundraiser in December as well as their partnership with Elegentees. In the time we’ve known each other I’ve seen you perform for 5 people under a tent at the Fullerton Artwalk, witnessed you release an EP you recorded in your garage, and now you just played THE STAPLES CENTER with an arena full of people who knew all of the words to your songs. The fact that you are constantly touring, playing sold out shows, directing your own music videos, playing in a STADIUM WITH TAYLOR FREAKING SWIFT, giving quality time to your fans, and you STILL make time for your loved ones…you are rare and you are magic. What a beautiful human and artist you are. The world is lucky to have you as a role model. It was a beautiful sight seeing phone flashlights waving in the air alongside pride flags in the crowd as you electrified that stage last night. Keep shining, keep climbing. 💕All our love 💕
