The practice of #HolikaDahan where the storyboard is Asura Holika who had powers by Brahma got burned by the help of Bhagwan Vishnu is also NOT a #Sati practice. There is no forced story in Maa Sati's narrative too. In none of the #Dharmshastras like Manu, etc in #SanatanDharm there has been no mention or glorification of #Sati practice. If #Sati has been associated with #Hinduism then it is all by details written by Historians. But the #Dharmshastras dont say it part of #SanatanDharm. Now #Sati was practised in other religions too like Sikhism, Jainism, Chinese & Eastern Asian countries but it got more propoganda by association with #Hindu rituals, courtesy - #RajaRamMohanRoy guy who is famous as Hindu reformer but was basically a chamcha of Britishers & was converting Hindus into #Christianity . #Jauhar was an mass self-immolation incident like #RaniPadmavati did on her OWN will to escape becoming the mistress of Khilji.
