As much as our family is going to miss this dog, we’re comforted to know he’ll bring the same joy to his new home, Walter Reed, that he brought to 41.
A savior was born. God is good! Merry Christmas to all.
@laurawbush and I are thrilled to welcome Henry Harold Hager to our family. We are happy for the proud parents, @jennabhager and Henry. And pleased that Mila and Poppy have a little brother to love. We thank God that mom and baby are healthy, and we look forward to many years of loving the boy known as Hal.

@LauraWBush and I are grateful to our Secret Service personnel and the thousands of Federal employees who are working hard for our country without a paycheck. And we thank our fellow citizens who are supporting them. It’s time for leaders on both sides to put politics aside, come together, and end this shutdown.
Happy #NationalDogDay to our furry friend, Freddy. @laurawbush and I thank the @spcatexas Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center for bringing this good boy into our lives.
Wishing my lovely bride @laurawbush a happy birthday today… and a happy anniversary tomorrow. I’m a lucky man. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀#repost @thebushcenter Happy birthday, Mrs. @laurawbush! 🎉🎂 Today, we are celebrating Mrs. Bush and the countless lives she has touched through her meaningful work. “Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America.” Thanks to Secretary Mark Esper for hosting Secretary Don Rumsfeld and me at the Pentagon to remember the lives stolen from us 18 years ago today.

Still feel like a 72-year-old. Thanks for the birthday ride.
Frank Robinson’s wife, Barbara Ann Cole, once said, “He believes in rules and he respects the game. He reveres the game.” When I presented him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2005, I noted that “Baseball fans across America will tell you the feeling is returned. In the game we love, few names will ever command as much respect and esteem as the name of Frank Robinson.” Number 20 was the only MVP of both the American and National leagues, the first African American manager in Major League Baseball, and a Hall of Famer I was proud to claim as a fellow Texan. Laura and I are grateful for all that Frank Robinson did for our nation and our nation’s pastime, and we send our heartfelt condolences to Barbara and the Robinson family.
With coaching from @thebushcenter CEO Ken Hersh and board members Mike Meece and Bill Hickey, I scored my first hole-in-one at the home of our Warrior Open and the @attbyronnelson. Next golf goal: live to 100 so I can shoot my age.
Thanks to the @uspostalservice for honoring dad on what would have been his 95th birthday.
Enjoyed a great ride honoring the fallen this morning with fellow grateful citizens, veterans, and first responders.
Had an excellent time tonight. Thanks for having me, @dallasstars. #Repost @dallasstars with @download_repost ・・・ Thank you Mr. President! Victory Green looks good on you. #GoStars
Tune in to NBC Saturday at 8/7c to see @jennabhager’s special tribute to our beloved 41.
We are deeply saddened that Cokie Roberts is no longer with us. She covered us for decades as a talented, tough, and fair reporter. We respected her drive and appreciated her humor. She became a friend. We know Steve, their children, and grandchildren are heartbroken. They have our sincere sympathies. Grateful to have spent Veterans Day weekend hitting the trails with vets for the @thebushcenter’s W100K. Thanks to all of our servicemen and women and their families. #W100K

Earlier this week, @laurawbush and I met with @thebushcenter’s Liberty and Leadership scholars from Burma. We enjoyed our discussion and remain hopeful for Burma’s successful democratic transition.
Grateful to Justice Neil Gorsuch and my former counsel Tobi Young for joining @thebushcenter’s podcast, The Strategerist, to talk about his bestseller “A Republic, If You Can Keep It.”
