My beloved has been talking about getting a tattoo for a while now. The impulsive part of me did not understand why he didn’t just land up at a parlour and get it done?! As it turns out, my Habibi has been conspiring with mystical Arabic calligraphy artist @karimasart
And the final design, which he now wears close to his heart is a testament to devotion and a more deliberate, thoughtful way to get inked. See the artist’s statement below. 💥swoon💥

I’m not crying, I’m just lubricating my tear ducts 🥰 Repost from @devsanyal using @RepostRegramApp – I saw @lisaraniray talk about her first book #closetothebone a few months ago at her launch with @harpercollinsin and then took me this long to read it given my ridiculously hectic schedule and the fact that I read multiple books at once. I used the 16 hour flight from LAX to Dubai to finally finish what I thought was one of the most well written books of our time. It’s bold, it’s real, it’s gritty, it’s gut-wrenchingly honest & gripping all at the same time. Lisa is a natural writer and she writes the way she speaks making it very easy to read. Her account of her “life less ordinary” is one that will resonate with a lot of us from the industry who know the way stuff works and it’s no surprise that the extraordinary amount of deceit, lies and trauma go hand in hand with the good stuff, all in balance of sheer malevolence & benevolence through the myriad cast of people, good and bad in her life. I know some of the bad eggs personally but what’s more important are the good people in her life who make her the amazing person she truly is… her amazing husband of 7 years @jasondhk2 and her amazing babies @sufiandsoleil and a bunch of us have the privilege of calling us her fam. Please do yourself a favor & go buy this book and read it and share the love.
And despite it all, Delhi came out in droves for #SahityaAajTak2019
I commend the spirit of the citizens who braved the toxic air to honour me with their presence. This is the overwhelming feature of India: it will always surprise you with its love and resilience 🙏🏼

I was initially going to write something glib about the gas chamber like air conditions in Delhi as I head there now, but it’s honestly too sad and alarming. Climate change deniers- WAKE UP. Policy makers- WAKE UP. What’s it going to take to save our children. Do you need to see your own children – or yourselves- inhabiting a masked reality?! This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE.
