Australia and its wildlife need our help! Bush fires are destroying parts of the country right now and it’s barely being talked about. I saw a few posts about it on social media that prompted me to do my own research and man this sh!t is bad… Bush fires happen yearly so the fact that there is a fire isn’t what’s alarming, it’s just how bad this years fire is. Scientists are attributing the severity to dry conditions and record high temperatures aka climate change. Millions of acres, hundreds of homes, human casualties, 350 koalas (estimated 10 days ago and the fires are still going), countless small mammals and reptiles. Part of the world, OUR world, is in the middle of a natural catastrophe right now. Sharing on social media is one thing, raising awareness is great but raising awareness without is leading to action does no good. Simply having people talking about this isn’t going to help Australia and these animals recover. They need our help in donations. I made a donation and I urge you to do the same.
