Norm Macdonald Instagram – Sometimes when you are a stand-up comedian like me, you get dressed up for a big show, and you buy a tuxedo and have the man at the tuxedo store tie your bow tie for you, and then nobody shows up to your show…. But you think the room is packed because of lights shining in your eyes so you do the show anyway, but it’s real quiet until the fella in the back turns on all the lights and you realize the place is empty, and then you say “why didn’t you stop me earlier?” And he says “I liked the one about the answering machine” And you say “then why didn’t you laugh?!?!?” And he says “it wasn’t really haha funny” and you say “ahhggghhggg” and he says “Merry Christmas” and you say “Merry Christmas” and then you go back to your hotel and watch all the Christmas themed episodes of South Beach Tow in your tuxedo and bow tie until you fall asleep!
