As the last few feet remain to be drilled,
now this rescue operation has caught the world’s attention!
And a lot of questions crop up:
* Why was the NDRF not involved immediately and called in after almost a day?
* why were trial and error techniques used up until 60 hrs and almost 15 attempts ended up failing?
* why was the German drilling machine deployed after 2 days?
* why do we in TN or in other states of India still not have life saving mechanisms when this incident is a common scenario amounting to several deaths already?
* the main question being why the sealing off of unused borewells not being implimented as a mandatory safety measure ?
