It was during the last trimester of my pregnancy that @tinyyawnsphotography got in touch with us 🙂 I was at Kerala then, and she in Bangalore. Right at our very first phone conversation itself, I sensed how passionate Ashwini Neetan was about Infant photography. “I do it cos I love it. Those tiny little hands and feet …. You’ll never know love like that” she said …. And that’s when I knew we had to collaborate . Hence we decided a date when j would have been 16 days old and what you will see in the series henceforth is from that day – Her first photoshoot when she slept through it all 🙂 .

J is now five months and I already feel we’ve come a long way since those initial days of exhaustion and nervousness… I also know this is just the beginning of so many exciting and crazy moments. There is something very meditative about watching them sleep 🙂 PS: It was also pretty amazing watching Ashwini ( @tinyyawnsphotography ) our photographer, wrap her in that cloth, put the headband on her, and oh so delicately place her on that prop- all the while making sure our baby continued sleeping- something I personally considered quite a feat 🙂 Also this was the QUIETEST photoshoot I’ve ever been a part of 😏

At our @wethewomenasia in Bangalore it was lovely to meet and hear the brave @sruthi_hariharan22 on one year of #MeToo. But am sure she would agree with me that the show stopper was her mother, who emerged from the audience to tell all women to never give up and “use your most beautiful weapon – your chappal”. I loved her #WeTheWomen .
Poetic, nostalgic, riveting, original, unpretentious … use as many adjectives you want, it wont suffice to describe this film. With an exemplary performance by @teju.belawadi (who I am now a huge fan of) and beautiful story- telling by @rao_roopa I really really hope this film gets all it deserves and more. At a time, where the business of films no more depend entirely on a formula, films like these need to be made, watched and loved. So please do just that. Also it’s been so long since I said this- SPREAD THE WORD AROUND 🙂 #Gantumoote releasing all over Karnataka… Lots of love and luck to the entire team ❤
