Lisa Ray Instagram – Repost from @shiloshivsuleman using @RepostRegramApp – Main Shaheen Hoon. The Shaheen is a majestic falcon that flies so high above the rest that no other bird can make it prey. We painted on the main stage at Shaheen bagh on the eve of Republic Day, in what felt like an alternate rose coloured universe. Women gathered together there – yes caring for each other, but also getting deep into political ideology, writing futures and occupying space. My grandfather was six years old during the independence movement and he remembered (hazelike) a talk that gandhi gave. As these young fires have been coming with their mothers for the last month, I wonder what memories they will pass on to their grand daughters. I know for certain- all futures exist because they turned up today. We’re writing history. I know where god lives. Here, in the garden of falcons. @fearlesscollective
