There are so many lovely EO’s out there but in moments like these I tend to reach for those that are rich in natural chemical components (such as linalol & linalyl acetate....ok, yawn) that have been proven to calm the nervous system and ease anxiety. So which are my favourites? Lavender, Bergamot -Mint, Neroli & Petitgrain. Lavender is the most common, and that on its own can do the trick. I, personally, make a blend with all the above and either diffuse it or use a nasal inhaler. It works wonders! I hope you, too, can find some peace and calm with these EO’s. Deanna Yusoff Instagram – When my anxiety levels go up, my immune system goes down. Apparently, this has something to do with the imbalance of cortisol levels which then affects other functions of the body and I end up feeling more stressed, more anxious, brain fogged and just yucky! Know the feeling?

Unfortunately our current situation is the perfect recipe to create this imbalance in our bodies.

So, I usually focus on my immune system before anything else. We need this to be on top form especially with what’s spreading around. 
Juicing! I drink this first thing in the morning and it is one of my favourite blends. And when I say juicing I don’t mean extracting the juice from the fruit or vegetable. I mean blending the whole thing with water. This one has oranges, carrots, ginger, beetroot and grapefruit.  I try to use organic produce whenever possible. I blend this in my Thermomix but you can also use any blender. 
It’s a great way to kick start your digestive system with nutrients, vitamins and fibre. It also works on the olfactory (scent) levels with the citrus and ginger scents which are uplifting and energising. So it’s a double boost.

I have read that if you juice regularly you can reset your immune system and strengthen it within 2 weeks.
