Deanna Yusoff Instagram – This years holy month is going to be very different from any previous ones. Everywhere in the world, the lockdowns have been extended and this is bringing on more unsettling emotions from either being away from family and loved ones, or just not being able to go back to our lives as they used to be.
My next “go-to” when I’m down, especially with hints of anxiety, is to use essential oils (EO’s).
There are so many lovely EO’s out there but in moments like these I tend to reach for those that are rich in natural chemical components (such as linalol & linalyl acetate….ok, yawn) that have been proven to calm the nervous system and ease anxiety.
So which are my favourites?
Lavender, Bergamot -Mint, Neroli & Petitgrain. Lavender is the most common, and that on its own can do the trick. I, personally, make a blend with all the above and either diffuse it or use a nasal inhaler. It works wonders!
