Just another shot of this corner of the guest room. I love how the @inmod bed post hits the intersection of the lines, perfectly. ☺️
Welcome to the guest room! It used to have a murphy bed Bc, for some reason, I thought it would also be an work/artspace. But @mandychengdesign kept me honest: the whole house is a workspace, and guests deserve their own room. 👏🏽 She designed bold walls and choose this dope bed its matching side tables from @inmod to make this room special.

The ceiling used to be painted silver. You can see these beams get shaved down to their natural color in my “house redo” highlight. (I can’t believe I almost did it myself. Thank god @mandychengdesign didn’t let me.)
As for this look – I know I present high femme at events, but I feel more at home in a more masculine/gender neutral environ. Probably why the central color of my house is army green.
Also, I’ve never had a king bed. We chose this @inmod one Bc it’s modern and can be redressed a billion different ways as I inevitably change my mind about its coverings.

Another view of the back house (w the gorge @reformcph kitchenette fronts)! @mandychengdesign & I broke the drywall ceiling, insulated it, raised it 14 inches and lifted a bed to make it a proper little tiny home for extended stay guests and artists.

I had been getting red-carpet-ready in a suction cupped magnified mirror, stuck to w window, for years. 🤦🏽♀️ when it’s came time to make a grown-up pro level vanity, I stil as obsessed w having it fit my inner Tomboy. I sent @mandychengdesign a thousand desks and easels, much to her chagrin, and ended up buying and painting a watchmakers bench (DM me for a link!) Then I found a local custom vanity mirror maker, and she color matched for me.
Also, if you watched the process of painting this fireplace, you know it wasn’t easy. 🙃
