My world got a wee bit bigger.
My heart got fuller.
I got one more shoulder to lean on.
This is us, after the marathon wedding. We were so tired to even climb up the stairs in one go, we just sat there leaning on each other. We took a moment to enjoy the morning it had been. A sigh of relief that everything went as well as it could. Just looking at each other’s faces and silently enjoying the joy and happiness in them. Tired but still overjoyed. Me realizing that this was my own little world from today and thanking the universe for this blessing. There are so many pretty pictures from the wedding, but this was a great moment. And of course @gayatrinairphotography was around to capture it. (She is so good, deserves a separate post. Coming soon)

Reminder to self and others: So many of us have a roof over our head, enough food to eat, the comfort of a loved one next to us. Yet, we find this period of lockdown uncomfortable, upsetting and can’t wait for it to get over. There are so many more out there who don’t have one or all of the comforts that we have. It would be nice to step in and help them in whatever way possible. If someone is anxious, listen. If we know a daily wage labourer, pay them a week’s/month’s cost of living. If we see a stray animal, feed it. If our maids, workers, neighborhood small shops, vegetable/fruit vendors on the street or anyone at all ask for a little extra cash, DO NOT think too much. Now is the time to step up and make a difference. Let’s be there for each other. Also, be grateful for everything we have that’s helping us sail through this.
