Who’s cuter? It’s a toss up. Remember this @maanvigagroo aka Siddhi-Piddhi ?
This was ‘bring your Soufflé to work day’, because, you know, working moms 😂✌🏼❤️ We didn’t have a cast and crew screening for @4moreshotspls S2 (because, you know, pandemic) so I’m sending out massive love and cheers to the fabulous, generous, Uber talented girl gang.
Man, this season is…something. L.I.T. The antidote to all the dire news, but still complex and entertaining and all heart.
Love y’all and raising my glass to all of you @rangitapritishnandy @nupurasthana @nehapartimatiyani @devikabhagat7 @misschamko @sayanigupta @shibanidandekar @iamkirtikulhari @maanvigagroo @banij @aasthasharma @reannmoradian
Humbled to have been part of this ride.

Y’all ready for a dose of Samara Kapoor? @4moreshotspls @primevideoin
Thought experiment 1 : all the stolen moments before arriving at your destination are rich. This moment is your moment to enliven your day. Don’t get so trapped in your own mind you stop noticing or caring for all the miracles, large and small, around you.
Like, for instance, coffee 😂
I’m grateful for the shelter of words, my family and plants. For the ability to bend my day to my desires, to rediscover a passion for watercolours and to begin work on my next book. I’m grateful to be shaken awake from complacency.
How about you? Singapore
I’ve been staring
at a fallen photo in my bedroom.
a week
and I still haven’t picked it up
and set it back
where it stood before.
I can see the right corner of the frame
wedged behind the bureau
like the ankle of a man buried in earthquake rubble.
but there was no earthquake here
in my bedroom.
so how did it fall?
and now fallen
perhaps it should stay
the way of all things that have come into the world before
and fallen
like armies and ideals, Communism and the American Empire.
like my youth.
there’s just something I suppose.
a broken, plunging wish,
in all the unpickable things.

Here in SINGAPORE (I have to emphasise my location as we’re not under curfew, but in ‘circuit breaker mode’) I find myself even more watchful on my morning coffee runs along Roberston Quay. I watch people’s expressions, their eyes lighting up in excitement when they recognise a friend and then offering a muted greeting across the mandated one metre safe distancing length. Others can’t help themselves and gather in uneasy clusters outside coffee shops, serving ‘take out and run’ morning delicacies. Some people walk with clenched jaws, their anxiety working beneath their skin.
I’m wearing a government issued reusable 3 ply fabric mask (thank you Singapore!) so no more excuses for reckless exposure.
There’s a part of me that wants to volunteer as a social distancing ambassador and help enforce the rules. I understand it’s difficult for some people to adjust but we’re in the midst of a global health crisis and it’s no longer about the individual. We each have to shift our mindset. It’s not a sacrifice but a necessity to stay home, stay sane and keep your distance for the welfare of us all ✌🏼💕
And there’s no way to sugarcoat this, but living like this a precursor to seismic change. Don’t be married to perceptions of ‘normal’ and they way things were before. You’ll only cause yourself dukka or suffering. Experiment with flow and acceptance. it’s all in the mind.

Never doubt the power of kindness. Today we had an impromptu picnic thanks to @kindkones_sg
The most delicious, lip smacking VEGAN ice creams and sorbets, all dairy and refined sugar free without sacrificing any of the texture and taste. Perfect for #Soufflé to cut their teeth on new flavours like passionfruit.
Thanks so much @serina_sb We’re fans and can’t wait to visit the store once we are released from the clutches of this spill over virus.
Repost from @aasthasharma using @RepostRegramApp – 4MPS Season 1 —SAMARA – Now who wouldn’t want to talk about SAMARA? she’s the epitome of a classic beauty and was such a pleasure to work with and dress!
Now, getting back to her look. You fundamentally cannot go wrong with the right pair of jeans and a well fitted, crisp white shirt. It could be an oversized shirt or a fitted shirt and still be extremely sexy.
With the right accessories, you can tone up this look, as well as tone it down. Whether it’s a quick coffee, or casual date night, or even a work meeting, with the right shoes, bag and accessories, this look can be transformed into whatever you please! Layer your neck with a couple of thin chains (or even really thick ones) or add a pair of hoops and pull your hair back into a sleek bun or ponytail and you’re ready to take over the world!

Repost from @angellovekind using @RepostRegramApp – Water is our word for the moment. Clean, clear, water 💧. “There is no small pleasure in pure water” (Ovid). Water is an inorganic, transparent, tasteless, odorless, and nearly colorless element, which is the main constituent of Earth’s hydrosphere and the fluids of most living organisms. It is vital for all known forms of life, even though it provides no calories or organic nutrients.
.
Water is essential. We run our taps now more than ever as we wash our hands frequently throughout the day to mitigate #covid. We drink up to 8 glasses a day to stay hydrated. It has been used in #baptisms since the start of #christianity – performed by sprinkling or pouring water on the head, or by immersing in water. Earth is the only known planet in this universe to have water. Our bodies are made up of 2/3 water and we can’t survive more than three days without it. Approximately 1.1 billion people lack access to safe drinking water. 2.6 billion people lack adequate sanitation. 1.8 million people die every year from diarrhoeal diseases, including 90 % of children under 5. There are currently 5 trillion pieces of plastic waste in the world’s oceans, according to The Ocean Cleanup @theoceancleanup , a project dedicated to ridding the ocean of waste.
.
As we consider our blessings on #eastermonday, let’s be mindful about water. It is our most precious life sustaining resource. Let’s preserve it, protect it and purify it #withkindness because if we don’t, the taps will run dry.
.
.
**If you haven’t already seen the Academy award nominated film (we think it should have won Best Foreign Language Film!) “Water” by Hindu Canadian 🇨🇦 filmmaker #DeepaMehta and starring the exquisite, former longtime #Toronto resident actress/model/author @lisaraniray (her luminous performance will leave you breathless), watch it on #netflix . The symbolism of water will not be lost…

Repost: Recommended reading. 6 perfect #lockdown reads by 6 outstanding women. All available as e-books on @amazonIN #Kindle @HarperCollinsIN
I think I made it clear confinement is not all that hard for me, in fact it’s proving conducive to working on the next book here in Singapore. So in order to challenge myself, I ordered a juice cleanse from @egajuiceclinic
I normally go on a few annual wellness retreats and do a detox every month to keep my system humming. It’s especially important as I’m immuno-compromised and on lifelong maintenance therapy for Multiple Myeloma. So what better time than the middle of a lockdown to bring the wellness spa home.
Bonus: a Super potent natural immuno-booster power bomb of haldi (turmeric) lemon (metabolism) ginger (digestion) amla (anti-ageing) and himalayan salt ✌🏼
This book is creating the best sort of commotion in my chest. There’s the sharp inhale of recognition at seeing my experiences reflected in these pages, as well as many of the Asia-based working moms I know. But it’s the searing and elegant prose that elevates @megan_k._stack’s #WomensWork to must read status. And now I discover she also lives in Singapore. No hope of bumping into each other during circuit breaker mode, but I have time to engineer a serendipitous encounter once we can move through the city freely ✌️

Repost from @archdigestindia using @RepostRegramApp – If you are a visual artist looking to transform the lockdown into a fruitful burst of creativity but are worried about crippling finances, then Experimenter Gallery’s (@experimenterkol) latest initiative might turn out to be your lifeline. Kolkata‘s cutting-edge gallery has recently announced its open call for Experimenter Labs’ Generator, a one-of-its-kind co-operative art production fund that will help deserving artists realise their dream projects in the time of quarantine. Put together by fellow artists, collectors, well-wishers, connoisseurs and people from within and outside the art world, the production grant’s primary focus is “to help continuity in work production,” says Priyanka Raja, co-founder, Experimenter gallery .
#
The grant will be given in incremental amounts to see through either new projects or those in limbo. As Priyanka explains, “It is directly given by the granter/s to the artist/s and the fund acts merely like what it is named, a generator—a kind of producer of resources to the artists. There is no age or geographical limitations.” Co-founder Prateek Raja recalls that the idea for the Generator fund was mooted over four years ago. It came up again more recently “in conversation with artist Bani Abidi who firmly believes in the decentralisation and equitable distribution of resources.” Prateek admits that “this conversation was rekindled” when the unparalleled quarantine measures were announced in India last month. “We all felt there is no better time to start this than now,” he says. Artists with no steady income are among the least equipped lot to bear the burden of the lockdown but for many cooped up at home and studio this is also a period of extraordinary creativity and fertility that ought to be captured for posterity. #linkinbio
