A short film shot across cities within the nation…featuring my colleagues from the Indian film industry…each one of us putting our individual pieces together from the safety of our respective homes. All this with ONE aim and ONE simple message… #StayHomeStaySafe.
This film which transcends the borders of region and language, was also created to raise funds for our extended family, who are the backbone of the entertainment industry…the technicians and assistants who work on a daily wage. This is for them.

Im honored to have been a part of One World #TogetherAtHome last night. To watch so much talent and so many real life heroes’ stories brought together from every corner of the world for one cause was unprecedented and awe inspiring. As I watched with my family, the same as so many of you in the US, India, throughout Asia, Europe, Africa, and beyond, it gave me so much hope that inspite of all the hardship maybe we’ll all emerge from this kinder and more compassionate.
Thank you @glblctzn and @ladygaga for your creativity and humanity, and congratulations on raising $127.9M for COVID-19 relief. To all the healthcare workers out there, essential workers and everyone who is working through this…thank you for fighting for us every single day. Thank you, thank you, thank you…humanity will forever be indebted.

A few years ago I shared some DIY beauty hacks with @voguemagazine. Seems like a good time to dust these off to try during quarantine. This is a recipe for a hair treatment that my mom taught me, and her mom taught her. Full Fat Yogurt, 1 tsp honey, 1 egg. Let it sit in your hair for 30 min and rinse with warm water.
Disclaimer: while this works wonders (for me), it doesn’t smell the best. You may need to shampoo twice to remove all the yogurt, and then condition as usual.
Our worlds changed quickly, and needless to say, we couldn’t go forward with our original plans to launch this campaign. SO, each week I’ll go live with @bonvivspikedseltzer to share the stories of four women who are overcoming the struggles of our new realities in their own powerful way.

Healthcare professionals around the world are working everyday to ensure our safety and fighting for us on the frontlines. Their courage, commitment and sacrifices are saving innumerable lives in this global pandemic. 🙏🏽
While we cannot even imagine what’s it like to be in their shoes, over the past several weeks, @crocs has donated thousands of pairs to the heroes in these photos to ensure that they are not only comfortable in them, but safer in them too. Because of this, I’m so proud to partner with them to give 10,000 pairs to healthcare workers at @cedarssinai in Los Angeles and 10,000 more to healthcare professionals in public/government hospitals across India. 💛

This month, @bonvivspikedseltzer and I have had the great honor of sharing the incredible stories of women who are on the frontlines of #Covid19. Every week, we read so many submissions and I am so inspired by the women who are going above and beyond in their communities to help others. This is the hope we need. A reminder that we are in this together and to lend a helping hand whenever possible. Today, we commemorate our final four women, and thank them for their courage and selfless acts.
Dr. Michele is a pharmacist at a NY presbyterian hospital and works extra hours to train others.
Colleen is a stage 4 cancer patient that has organized “Meals on Masks,” as a way to donate food to other cancer patients and their families.
Brittany is a registered ER nurse working in the COVID unit taking care of those infected.
Anu owns a daycare and decided to leave it open so she could care for children whose parents still have to work during this pandemic.
To the these 4 amazing women and the 12 others we highlighted this month, we thank you and commemorate you. You are helping make the world a safer, healthier place.

Laura works at a homeless outreach and support center that provides bathrooms, showers, and laundry services.
Jessica has been putting together care and safety packages for domestic violence shelters and survivors who have been affected by this crisis.
Tamy is an environmental service worker, cleaning operating rooms and emergency rooms at her local hospital.
Crystal is a physician assistant in the ER and First Lieutenant in the US Army.

As you may know, @bonvivspikedseltzer and I have an ongoing campaign highlighting women who are on the frontlines fighting #Covid19. We have shared the stories of 8 incredible women so far, and this week we bring you 4 more heroes who are risking their lives to protect ours. Today, we commemorate you. ❤️
April is a registered nurse who not only cares for patients, but has taken it upon herself to support her coworkers.
Rose is a paramedic and a lieutenant who’s worked in EMS for 10 years and takes great care for her patients, while also being a mother to two beautiful kids.
Dr. Richa Pursnani is an OB/GYN resident working 14 hour shifts, taking care of vulnerable women who need access to healthcare.
Pooja has founded the Covid-19 Health Literacy Project which translates information into 37+languages for non-English speakers and immigrants.
Your selfless actions do not go unnoticed. We thank you for the bottom of our hearts.
