Consider donating what would have gone to this month’s festivities to local LGBT and intersectional organizations that support black, brown, and trans folx that need funds to help their communities (some tagged here, happy to add more from the comments). Smaller LGBT organizations are often overlooked in favor of more recognizable ones. Call out corporations and brands who are after your wallet and demand them to open theirs to the above. Racism is a queer issue. Pride started as a riot against police brutality. Take pride in your history. Center your brothers and sisters of color who led us here. Call out racist, bigoted bullshit when you hear or see it. Save the thirst traps and put your beautiful bodies to use on the street: march if you can when you can.
