Last night Garth made his final appearance on #Supernatural. What started out as just a guest spot turned into something I couldn’t have predicted. These past eight years…to say it’s been amazing doesn’t even begin. Thank you all for loving Garth. Your response let me keep playing him and I fricking LOVE the guy. I got to play a hunter, a cop, an FBI agent, a Texas ranger, a corporal, a loyal friend, husband and father, a werewolf, and finally, a werewolf dentist. That’s a lot! What I’m taking from this extends so far outside the filming of a tv show. I’ve been all over the world, getting to know and love a cast who have truly become a family, not to mention getting a best friend outta the deal. It’s been my absolute pleasure to meet so many of the #spnfamily. You guys rock! You give us so much more than we give you and we appreciate it more than you know. Farewell, Garth. I hope to see you again in the future, but knock it off with the dad cardigans. You aren’t built for those. @ty.olsson @jaredpadalecki @jensenackles @kimrhodes4reals @realadamrose and so, so many others.

I’ve been dying to post this photo for months and here we are. My episode of Creepshow airs this Thursday 10/3 on @shudder . Written by David Schow and directed by Greg “more blood” Nicotero, it’s the most fun and most challenging thing I’ve had the privilege to do in quite some time. It’s super hard to swing a mallet slick with blood while eyes are burning from blood splatter. Look at the background. All that was done in the take. What is Shudder? It’s a horror streaming service you can try out for free. Perfect for Halloween month. Check out Creepshow and let me know what you think. Shout out to our crew. I love you guys. @gnicotero #creepshow #horror #brains #blood #horrorart #setlife 👻💀🤡🧟♂️🔪🔨🔨🔨
The cool kids being cool. She will only sit in my lap. When I showed her this photo she kept saying “that’s you. That’s you.” Heart officially melted. Little girl, uncle DJ is gonna spoil you rotten.
Alone in a hotel in Atlanta and Im feeling pretty happy about it. Im also freaking out a bit, palms are sweating, but happy. I’ve taken a job that is the most challenging thing I’ve been called on to do in quite some time. Hairpin emotional transitions. SO MUCH DIALOGUE to remember. Solo dialogue. In paragraph form. I’ve prepped it. I’m going to let it go for tonight. I have to trust I know it and tomorrow I’m going to go in and help create something cool. The jacket you ask? Why, that is the most controversial purchase I’ve made in recent memory. Armani pony leather (that means cow hide with the hair still on it. No ponies were harmed). The stripes, not the material, were the controversy. Ty didn’t like it. Jordan didn’t like it. Maja, Jason, Phil, the man who blows the leaves outta the garden…all didn’t like it. I liked it. Nikki confirmed it and here I sit. Did I learn something from this? That I should trust myself more? Nope. #actorslife #armani #lifelessonslearned probably not. #drinkingalone but just 2. #iphone6s camera sucks. I’m going to #wafflehouse #goodnight #nofilter they are making us delusional. Oh, I forgot that @lydiahearst liked the jacket, too. She definitely knows what’s up.

This group of folks. Love them. Our #Creepshow cast and the master Greg Nicotero before our panel at #sdcc. So excited for people to see this series. It’s good stuff. Best work I’ve done in years. Also, big congrats to Giancarlo on his brand new Emmy nomination.
I hear you. #blackouttuesday
#relax instagram doesn’t want to sell your photos and even if they did, I don’t think posting a manifesto railing against them would stop it. I think you’d need, like, lawyers and paperwork. Stuff like that.
Hey there folks. How you holding up? As the Covid-19 isolation drags on, I’m spending my time learning about contemporary art and artists (I’m not going to put together a puzzle or exercise on camera, although that would be hilarious). It’s an area I know very little about and haven’t until recently started to collect. These are the 3rd and 4th pieces I’ve added to the collection since I’ve been locked away and I am IN LOVE. Granted, as a member of the unemployed, it’s not the best time for me to be buying things but credit cards are enablers and I have a problem. The Plastic Rainbow, 1970 Robert S Neuman Gouache, colored pencil and crayon on deckled edge paper. As always, I’m full disclosure about pricing because I’m passionate about affordable collecting and accessibility. Works on paper represent a huge value in the art market. A drawing or painting on paper from a noted artist who has works in major museums can run anywhere from a few hundred dollars to well, sky is the limit, really. A work on canvas is 5, 10 times that price. When I look at works on paper, I try to focus on pieces in the $300 to $3000 range, depending on the artist, with my sweet spot being under $1,500. This piece, which is on the larger side, was $1,500. The auction estimate was $600 to $800 and I knew it would go for more. $1500 (around $2,000 with auction fees and shipping) was the absolute limit I was willing to go and it worked out this time. Companion, 2016 @kaws Painted vinyl These “toys” are from open editions that are released a couple times a year and usually retail for $200 to $400. They sell out quickly because people want to resell them for more money ☹️. I bought this for $330 new in its sealed packaging. I think they are a good way to have an affordable piece of art from a living artist in your homes. Side note: TAKE THEM OUT OF THE PACKAGING. Yeah, it probably devalues them a little but they are meant to be displayed and enjoyed. I think you’re an investor not a collector when you keep things hidden away. That’s fine, too, but not my thing. #art #artcollector #robertsneuman #contemporaryart #kaws

I tried to do this as a story but it was too hard and I got mad. Anyway. Most of my art collection is made up of old masters, late 19th/early 20th century impressionist/modern art and pop art pieces. I’ve spent the last week of isolation learning about contemporary art/post war art and I want to add a small, affordable piece to my collection. There are some auctions coming up and I’m having problems deciding. Help me choose. Which do you like best? 1. Don Smith, 18″x24” oil on board, 1960s 2. Joseph Meierhans, 11”x13.5” gouache on paper. 1950s 3. @kaws, 11”x6”, painted vinyl 2010s 4. Peter Dean, 17”x9.75” oil on Masonite. Yes, it’s a lion man riding a pig bike 1960s 5. Dwinell Grant 11”x12.75” ink on paper 1940s All of them give me the feels and all are estimated around the same price…about 10 bar tabs plus tip. What do YOU think? #contemporaryart #artcollector #itsgoingonthecreditcard #helpme #poll
Even in 1538 the general mood was #fuckoff. I get it.
