Not even a hundred days of lockdown and all of us are complaining about feeling anxious, depressed or simply unwell.
We speak about our desires to roam free because we feel caged.
Remember your current state the next time you visit a zoo, a circus or any other established that keeps animals caged.
We are all guilty of visiting these places, but somewhere down the line this has to stop. They weren’t born for your entertainment. They have a life, just like you.
Keeping a life caged for your entertainment is too unfair.
Every voice matters. They feel the anxiety too. They feel the same trauma you feel when you’re caged, that added with a thousand people irritating them by invading their private space.
Make a choice. It counts.

We all would urge @cmokerala to find the perpetrators and bring them to justice for this heinous crime.

A pregnant elephant was fed cracker stuffed pineapple by unidentified people in Kerala which exploded in her mouth and damaged her jaw. She walked around the village and finally passed away standing in a river.
We keep searching for monsters hoping they would be having the devil’s horns on their heads. But look around you, the monsters walk beside you. This elephant was going to give birth 18-20 months later.
Even after the elephant was injured, she did not crush a single home or hurt a single human being. She just stood in a river because of the excruciating pain and passed away without hurting a single soul.
From anybody who throws stones at a stray dog to anybody hurting a living soul, choose one face.
A lot of these animals trust human beings because they have been helped by them in the past.
This is cruel beyond measure. When you lack empathy and kindness, you do not deserve to be called a human being. To hurt someone is not human.
Just stricter laws won’t help. We need a decent execution of the law too.
Until the guilty are punished in the worst possible way, these wicked monsters will never fear the law.
Though it’s a difficult task, I hope they are able to find out the one who committed this crime and punish them accordingly.

1.Animal Aid Unlimited – They save animals through street animal rescue, spay/neuter and help in awareness and education.
Their mission is dedicated to the day when all living beings are treated with compassion and love. They are based in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

2. Thane SPCA – Their main goal is to bring medical aid and relief to stray animals and rehabilitate them as the sick and injured stray animals had absolutely no access to modern medical care. Currently they have a shelter where they provide holistic medical services. They are based in Thane, Mumbai.

3. RAWW – A Mumbai based organisation with a mission to mitigate human-wildlife conflicts and work towards urban wildlife conservation. They rescue, rehabilitate, provide immediate treatment and temporary foster care to the wild animals, birds, and reptiles in the city and ensure that they are released into the natural habitat.

4. Save Our Strays – A Mumbai based organization whose primary focus is sterilization. They also work towards vaccination, health care and adoptions of animals.

5. Awaaz Voice of Stray Animals – Based out of Mumbai, their focus is now on putting up a trauma centre in the city and a permanent shelter for blind and paralyzed dogs and cats. They have started a fund raiser on Ketto. Currently, they’re feeding stray animals and have fed more than 12500 (dogs), few hundred cats and are also feeding cattle and birds.
