Lisa Ray Instagram – Climbing walls much?
Fortunately I’ve discovered @pureyogasingapore FREE yoga classes
All traditions (hatha, yin, vinyasa, Iyengar, immunity boosting practises) with excellent teachers- I used to practise at the studio before the circuit breaker. Anyone can jump on their IGTV and reap the benefits. I think it’s really essential to offer up healing practises gratis right now. I’m also getting a lot from @soundstrue as they’ve created a digital Care Package of meditations and talks with wonderful teachers sharing techniques to manage stress and fear. Look up #DharmaRainMumbai for workshops and live talks. @vanajourney is also offering free classes in Qi Gong, yoga, cooking for immunity and haunting Raagas that elevate the spirit. You can register for free meditations with one of my favourite teachers @mishtickle on @tangerineartsstudio that’s also got Zumba and yoga on offer on their Instagram page. @thedivayoga has an awesome variety of classes too ✌🏼on their handle.
I think offerings that are available to everyone are precious statements in and of themselves. Just as with everything else in the world, the corporatization of ancient practises is disturbing. A billion dollar industry has grown around ‘yoga’ and ‘wellness’. Charging people for what is a sacred practise during these times, should make you question who you wish to follow and learn from. The exploitation has been laid bare. It’s up to you to decide now who is a worthy teacher. Buddha encouraged questioning the teacher, examining their worth and motives before surrendering to their teachings.
Feel free to share any other online classes you find helpful during this time in the comments below.
Lisa Ray Instagram – Repost from @rebeccasuhrawardi using @RepostRegramApp – These are Miami Police. When the protestors came they took a knee, and it’s exactly here where peace should begin. Why? Because it’s acknowledgment from the powers that be that there is a problem, and acknowledging the system’s role in it. It acknowledges that the problem doesn’t wholly originate from protestors or petty criminals. And what any human wants when they are being marginalized, hurt, oppressed or generally wronged is to be heard and acknowledged. To hear, from authority, or from an opposing party, “Yes, you are right, there is a problem. And we hear you.” And until oppressed people begin to hear and feel acknowledgment, uprise will always surface. People will always fight. Revolutions will always arise. This is history, this is life. Acknowledgment is the start of a solution. And right now, our leadership refuses to acknowledge there’s a problem with the system, and without it, how can we find solutions? Miami still got effed up from protests, but damn, at least the cops are thinking, and it gives me hope 👊 I’m proud of these officers. #miamiprotests #miamipolice
