Mohanlal Instagram – In continuation of the third phase of ViswaSanthi Foundation’s initiatives to fight COVID-19, PPE kits were donated to hospitals run by Mumbai Municipal corporation BMC. Lokmanya Tilak Hospital, in Sion, near the Dharavi slum area, and Chattrapathi Shivaji Maharaj hospital in Thane were some of the hospitals which received the kits. The kits were handed over to hospital authorities by volunteers of Niramay Foundation and Keshav Srushti trust based in Mumbai. The PPE kits are also being used by medical teams set up by BMC for the door to door screening for corona suspected cases in slum colonies in Andheri, Dharavi, etc. PPE kits were handed over to many small nursing homes and clinics in Andheri, Dharavi, and other places.
