Also if you zoom in close enough you’ll see what was at the start of this shoot a beautiful flower from the Champa tree near us but that had wilted away in seconds because of the aforementioned heat.. which is why it also looks like a soiled tissue.. or what I saw at first glance – a tiny wittle creature trying to escape from Kirti’s hand 😂🤣 I blame the heat for this, I was dangerously dehydrated that day. ____________________________________________

Day 37: Took some pictures to document the hair. Every time I colour it, it’s my favourite colour. Every time I think it’s the best, it gets better. Couldn’t just post a picture plain, it never feels creatively satisfying – enough, I guess that’s a good thing. Always wanting to do more. Always doing more. I’ll know when to stop. Internal guidance. May we all learn to channelise it. And listen to it. Did you know they actually do tattoos like this? Not just in white ink, it’s called Blood lines or blood lining (you can ask google about it) Making art in your skin minus the ink. Treś cool. Just as painful as a regular tattoo though. Lol.

2nd of the series.
Do you see what I meant by hair in focus but different editing styles? But, there is a pattern. Always. There is always something symbolic going on. I love how this started off as just a picture to send @whynot_byzeeba to track the color and has now morphed into a supremely intense mix media project. I always get to know myself better through this process. I realise again how much I like minute details. How there must be meaning hidden or obvious. I like layers. I like shadows, I love depth. Can’t have a flat image. No no. I love playfulness of light. I know I write this out now in one go but when I look back a few months down the line I will always see more.

2. Growing up, did you feel insecure about yourself, based on your looks or a specific body part?
– It’s funny I never understood what insecurity meant until someone tried to make me feel differently about myself than what I knew to be true – (I must’ve been in 4/5th grade) it was a shift that occurred because I realized deeply why they were doing it (belittling/ embarrassing me/ trying to make themselves look better) and I’m pretty sure it’s when I gave my first and last F about it. Hahahah.
3. If yes, how did you overcome it?
– I wish there was a way to transfer this wonderful knowing and value of self worth that cannot be diminished by what those around you say or think of you.. because that is what it takes. Simply. Just you.
And your innate knowing.

I don’t think I ever kept a straight face on set until we actually started to roll.
Looking at this footage now I know I was doing it as a way to diffuse the seriousness of what Umang was going through. Also knowing what was coming was like this looming heaviness I would carry around. Did what I could for momentary relief.
Also, I learnt from @iamkirtikulhari that in rehearsals one never has to give 100%. LOL.
Another little known 4MSP fact, we had a wind machine on set at all times just in case 👌🏼. _________________
