And “The Cameos”
As a professional actor, I always give serious consideration to any role that comes in search of me, irrespective of it being a heroine or character role. I’am an actor who is passionate about acting and nothing else matters.
I had missed out on a few really good projects as i was also doing my PhD simultaneously. But i don’t regret either because I could complete my PhD. I also really enjoyed doing these cameos with the amazingly talented cast and crew.
1) Ponmagal Vandhal: I never expected a cameo would have such an impact. Thank you Director Fredrick Sir for thinking of me for such a powerful role. Thank you Jyothika mam, Surya Sir and 2D entertainment.
2) Maari2: Thank you Director Balaji Sir, Wunderbar Films, Actors Dhanush and Krishna.
3) Kammath&Kammath: It was such a pleasure sharing screen space with Mammootty Sir!

Pasanga-2: When you wish for something quietly and when it comes to you effortlessly, then it’s called magic. During my college days I only wished to take a pic with Surya sir as one among the crowd but when I learned that am gonna share screen space with him, it was more than I asked for. Being a fan of this power couple Surya sir and Jyothika mam, I was grateful to be associated with 2D productions through this movie. Director Pandiraj sir had noticed me in Saivam and wanted to cast me in this movie. I really liked the script which was a complete family entertainer, and so I decided to do this movie. A very pleasant experience working with director Pandiraj sir and cinematographer Balasubramaniam sir and the entire team. I had a great time playing around with the kids on the sets😀

Goodbye Naayagi ❤️
Like a fairy tale one fine day I received a call from Vikatan (2018), when I was at lab doing my routine work, asking whether I could be Anandhi.. their Naayagi. Decision was taken overnight and from the next day I became Anandhi. Time flew and it’s been two years since I started living as Anandhi. As most of you know already, Thiru-Anandhi love story has come to an end.
Vikatan was one of the best production house I have ever worked with. Very professional and very kind. Thank you Srinivasan sir, Radha mam, Radhika mam and dearest Jayasree. Thank you Jayasree for always being there for me🙏
Thank you Suntv for giving the biggest platform for reaching out to the millions of audience at their home everyday for two years🙏

In ”Iravukku Aayiram Kangal” for the first time I played a negative role on screen. During script narration, director Maran sir insisted that as an actor I will find this role really interesting. Only after I tried I realized that playing the villain is a lot of fun too😀 It was such a beautiful experience working with this team. Thank you so much Axess Film factory, producer Dillibabu sir, director Maran sir, Pooranesh, Hero Arulnidhi, Ajmal, Chaya Singh, Anand Raj sir, John Vijay sir, Mahima, Suja and the entire team❤️

“Achamindri” was challenging for me in two ways! Firstly I had to play a deaf-mute girl in the movie. Secondly I had to work alongside National award winning actor and director Samuthirakani sir. I asked director Rajapandi sir that why did he think of casting me in this role because I myself was unsure of doing this role. He replied that he was sure my eyes will speak rather than me delivering dialogues in this movie. Thank you Rajapandi sir for that trust. It was really nice working with Vijay Vasanth, Samuthirakani sir, Rajapandi sir and the entire team. In the end as an actor, I had the satisfaction of trying out something new😀

In between all the different roles, this Kannada movie was my first proper commercial entertainer, that too with Kannada superstar Shivrajkumar Sir. I felt so alive and this movie happened like magic. It was so colourful and glamorous, like in a wonderland with so much of love and pampering. So fortunate to have worked with a bunch of amazing and very kind people from Kannada film Industry. Forever grateful to Director Yogi Raj Sir, Jayanna films PremKumar Sir and Murali. Saivam- A new beginning:
When I got a call from Thaara mams daughter, my dearest late Abhi (Abhijatha) who was casting for Saivam, I was little hesitant to go because of the leave I have to take at my work place and also I was not mentally prepared for doing movies then. But she insisted that I come and meet the team at their office. When I went there, I met AL Vijay Sir for the first time. There was so much of warmth and positiveness from him and the whole team. Sir asked me if it is okay for me to play mother for a 6 year old, also mentioned that looks has to be changed accordingly to match the role etc. After talking to Vijay Sir I changed my mind and I really wanted to do the movie. Grateful to dearest Abhi. For me Saivam would not have happened without Abhi. Had the best experience shooting for Saivam in Kaaraikudi with all the amazing co-stars including Nassar Sir. We all were like one big family and the whole family is still in touch with each other. It was extremely amazing and I really cherish working with director AL Vijay Sir and Cinematographer Nirav Shah Sir, two wonderful human beings. Saivam opened up new avenues for me.

I remember shooting for this movie in Malaysia with severe food poisoning and fever. We shot everyday in the exterior from morning till evening without break. And in the evenings, i used to visit the hospital everyday for two hours for IV drip and this continued till we finished shooting in Malaysia. I remember gathering all my strength and standing in front of camera. An experience!

“Asurakulam” is a very raw and intense movie. It has six beautiful songs by C.Sathya sir. It was the first time I shot for difficult stunt scenes, underwater shots and fire sequences. It was very tough for me while shooting but this experience gave me confidence to face such scenes in the future with a smile. Thank you director Vignesh Menon sir, producer Saravanan sir, hero Sabarish and the entire team😊
