What’s in it for me?
It’s the subtext of all activities I engage in.
Does it not sound mean and selfish…?
Ofcourse it does… And probably that’s why we vehemently deny if someone “accuses” us of looking at “what’s in it for me”…
It makes us feel guilty..
But let’s be straight..
Do you do anything without looking at what’s in it for you?
Be it earning money or Social work, spiritual activity or sport, or travel or plain contribution..
Isn’t there a personal takeaway, that calls you to do it?
Consider for a moment, rather than denying the existence of “what’s in it for me”..
Could we accept it… And keep constantly expanding the purview of our “ME”…?
I do it all for me… And my me, loves to make a difference to many.
