Alin Sumarwata Instagram – #australiaisBURNING and has been since September and the devastation is estimated to continue until March. The effects, far beyond.
The catastrophe is unprecedented.
The crisis is despairing.
Firefighting men and women risking it all in the front line of these horrendous fires, emergency response teams and volunteers who ease the suffering of fellow humans and our perishing wildlife with tireless commitment and compassion, need our support.
No matter how insignificant our contribution may feel against the scope of this nightmare – no matter how disillusioned we feel, we must keep choosing to act. The road to recovery and restoration is long. We might lose the battle against things beyond our control but we simply can’t lose the battle to complacency, ignorance and inaction.
There are many small, simple acts or positive adjustments we all can implement daily in our personal lives towards conscious and sustainable living practices. Collectively we can make a significant impact.
