When you’re feeling cute and fierce and your series @4moreshotspls has just been nominated for an international Emmy (💥 @iemmys ) but you are miles away from co-actors, the entire brilliant team, @rangitapritishnandy and friends, what do you do? You strap on your mask, sashay into the closest mall, force your insta-husband to take some shots, then take your kids for ice cream. Because, Singapore. And because, COVID. And because momhood, serves up realness everytime.
Very grateful to have been a small part of what I’ve always felt is a ground breaking show for India that brought me into contact with some phenomenally talented and fearless women.
Go team @4moreshotspls

Rainy morning? We headed to The Central Public Library home to My Tree House, World’s 1st Green Library for kids. It’s apparently the first in the world to be steered by green principles in all facets from design and infrastructure to collection and programming.
Forming the centrepiece of the eco library, the striking tree house canopy is constructed with recycled bottles while its steps and surrounding platform are built with recycled timber. Other green features in the library include refurbished book shelves, carpet made from recycled materials and energy-efficient LED lighting. #Souffle loved it so much I could barely get them to read a couple of pages of their favourite books before they ran off to explore.
Added some thunder to my day with a handwoven @ikatindia kaftan from @canvas_and_weaves

Finally made it to @openfarmcommunity and it was all that and more. A small but beautiful enclave that started in response to the segregation of kids and people from nature in Singapore. #OFK brings to life the possibility of urban farming, sustainable eating and respect for food and its origins 💪🏽 For a city that’s been described as the lovechild of globalisation and money, supporting and growing more sites like @openfarmcommunity is a conscious step towards a more sustainable future.

You will see the leaf and you will wonder how you missed it
You will feel the chains and you will wonder how you missed it
You will stumble on the sky and you will wonder at how you missed it
You will hold another with wonder at how you missed it
When the disaster does not pass you by
You will wonder at all the moments
like feathers brushing the surface of your lids
And wonder how you missed it

Posted @withregram • @bazaarindia In the new, digital-only issue, Bazaar India speaks with 14 extraordinary women about their biggest learnings from the lockdown, their source of strength, and their hopes for a better tomorrow.
1. Lisa Ray (@lisaraniray ): “Over the past few months, I’ve prayed, wept, laughed, connected, and detached. I believe I’ve rediscovered my purpose, and I can’t be alone.”
2. Laxmi Agarwal (@thelaxmiagarwal ): “For three years after the acid attack, I was trapped at home. I discovered so much about myself during that time, and decided that I never want anyone else to go through what I did. Which is why, since the lockdown began, I’ve extended my support to anyone who needs help.”
3. Nikita Singh (@singh_nikita ): “I’ve also realised that life is a marathon, not a sprint. I’m more patient now, which has taken off a lot of the pressure I used to put on myself.”
4. Alankrita Shrivastava (@alankrita601 ): “I hope that the world becomes kinder and learns to respect human life. I also pray for a world that embraces diversity, one that is not fuelled by hatred for ‘the other’.”
5. Ninja Singh (@ninjasinghofficial ): “I believe you must find the courage to confront the reality. Women need to put themselves first, and learn to deal with stress in a practical way.”

Repost from @fearlesscollective using @RepostRegramApp – There is a war against women.
There is a war against- Dalit Women.
We stand in solidarity with them.
What will end this war?
It’s a (common) myth that our only reactions to conflict are fight or flight. More often, when faced with danger- we gather.
What will end this war?
Gather your resources, gather your strength, gather your loved ones, gather in each others arms, gather in streets, gather voice, gather breathe, rise, console- respond.

Cherishing these beauties from @palsh_design
Secrets are passed down through the hands of women, passed on through thread and needle to lay against our skin. It’s legacy. It’s beauty that saves us. Thank you for upholding the idea of financial empowerment and the revival of traditional Indian handicrafts by women. We are all aware of the pressing need to liberate women from patriarchal structures in India and offering a platform to showcase their artistry and earn a living is so vital.
I appreciate the gift box, created by small hands from recycled materials. Thank you for the work you do.

My dear maverick friend @ggpanther has started a movement with #NameisLove a fashion film featuring the language of freedom and love by @thepoetresse and a collection that is more than skin deep. I relish his words, his artistry, his humsafar spirit and mostly his heart. Sharing his thoughts here:
This is not about my brand, or about fashion, this has become larger than us. As love always is.
The original soundtrack ‘Name is love’ is also up on I tunes and Spotify,
This project is very close to my heart, for multiple reasons. To have the honour to represent such brave stories from India across communities. And to have the continuous love, dedication and support of my team, artisans and craftsmen who have managed to make these collections through these challenging times.

The Cast
‘Name Is Love’
“What motivated me to choose this line of work is the lack of representation. We need more relatable people in the industry. More representation. More diversity. More inclusivity. And I cannot stress this enough. I don’t want young girls and boys thinking they’re not good enough or pretty enough because their waist isn’t 20 something or because they have normal bodies. And yes, we have amazing people in the industry who are making a change but we’re not there yet. And I want to do my part as well”.

Repost from @thepoetresse using @RepostRegramApp – “All cults are wrong. They make of a man or a woman, a demi-god, placing him or her beyond the touch of human association. To turn a person into a deity and ideas into an ism is to consign them to stony lifelessness. Gandhi himself said, ‘There is no such thing as Gandhism and I do not want to leave a cult after me.’ ”
Gandhi – Essential Writings by Gopalkrishna Gandhi
It is in this spirit this book takes shape. Santati is a continuum, much like the distilled message Mahatma Gandhi has left behind which is not that of a cult or a stifling institution. It is a seed that is powerful enough on its own to grow on any soil it’s planted.

Posted @withregram • @nadineouellet Yo! / Typographic Mise-en-scène / Nadine Ouellet and Timothy Wee / The lockdown – a period of physical absence from society, but of conscious individual presence. We inhabited our heads, bodies and homes like never before. The typographic headdresses emulate the rawness of our continuous thoughts, the cacophony of words in our heads, the non-sense, the new awareness and the visceral need to connect with others and be seen. #typography #mask #headpiece #headdress #interdisciplinarydesign
At dinner last night my father spoke about his fascination with trains. He recalled the plaintive sound of a train whistle cutting through the rural landscape of Bengal, where his father was posted as a judge. He described the shape of the locomotive that haunts his memories. Then he added- did you know CLC, the Canadian locomotive company began exporting these uniquely designed steam locomotives to India? And so that whistle the young boy heard was both a call connecting him to his future in another country and a strange remembrance for the grandfather he is today. It is these swirling narratives that colour our lives and challenge our ability to investigate our reality.
#TheHeartAsksPkeasureFirst is that. It’s that haunting call that awakens ancestral memory as well as reminds us to look and love deeper.
@karunaezara is that for me. Since we met for the launch of my book not long ago I have felt a strong kinship that belies the time we’ve known each other and that runs with the secrets of serendipity and of the universe sending a sister of the heart. I knew instinctively her writing would be soulful and piercing. Even then, her debut has unravelled me in a way you hope every novel will when you begin it. But it’s rare.
Join us as we talk about #TheHeartAdksPleasureFirst and it’s many swirling themes. And love. I have so many questions. Let’s soak in Karuna’s language together.
