the other day I posted saying I was going to keep up the thread on twitter of all the things ‘I am doing’ to support the BLM movement. while I do think the thread is helpful in spreading petitions and donation links, I’ve also been focusing on listening to what the black community needs from us right now. through this, I realized that a thread about what I AM DOING doesn’t really fucking matter. what matters the most right now is how I can use my voice to help amplify black voices and lift up their community. THEIR voices are the voices that need to be heard the most. I want to use my platform as a megaphone for the black community.
