As a kid, I grew up listening to Old Bollywood music or as my father would call it ‘The golden Era of Bollywood”. We used to listen to Rafi da, Kishore da, Manna Dey
My dad would tell me stories behind the songs, stories of these musical legends who celebrated music. Appu started my musical journey, in a true sense.
My father’s jams became my jams, his favourite singers became my favourite singers and his favourite music director became mine, R.D.BURMAN urf Pancham da.
My father is the main reason I started learning music through playing the Harmonium and later on piano.
I found my interest in Blues/ Jazz but this retro Bollywood keeda was still somewhere there inside me.
That’s when I decided, to come up with sLo-fi, a sweet blend of retro Bollywood with chillhop/ lofi.
