Anyone who knows me knows that I am not the one to celebrate birthdays! But I can’t help but wake up feeling grateful for all that life has given and taught me over the years. Especially since Covid-19, there are people, places and things for which I have a newfound or renewed appreciation for.
Every passing year has brought me closer to expressing my whole and healed self!
I’ve learnt that the hardest things you will ever have to do in your life is to forgive someone who never apologized. You don’t need to do this for them; you do this for yourself.
Hold on to your values that you so uniquely possess. Don’t be afraid to say the truth that you carry in your heart like a hidden treasure!
An excerpt from the poem ‘Myself’ reminds me of one of the many wonderful things I’ve learnt from my Mother that has shaped who I am today.
I cannot hide myself from me;
I can see what others can never see;
I know what others can never know,
I cannot fool myself, and so
Whatever happens, I want to be
self-respecting and conscience free.

Recently, I was a part of a wonderful initiative by @AsianPaints Painting Service where they were celebrating beautiful homes of consumers across Tamil Nadu. Not only did I get to see gorgeous homes and interact with lovely families who greeted me with such warmth and open hearts, but I also got to be part of their celebrations! I was amazed to see some of the spectacular work done by the Asian Paints Painting Service team, from striking colours and textures on the walls to stylish décor and furnishings in the house, each home was aesthetically done up to suit the need and style of its home owners. As a homeowner myself, I was delighted to know how personally involved the Asian Paints team is from the selection process through the execution! I’m going to cherish these memories of meeting these wonderful families and working with the AP team for a long time to come.
