🍪1/2 cup castor sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
1 egg
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
100 Gm Chocolate broken up

🍪Whisk the sugars, butter and egg until nice soft ribbons . Yes I added mine later because I ran out of butter 🤣 but Handy Hans got me some in time ! Add the chopped chocolate . You can add fresh vanilla off the pod or vanilla Extract / essence . You can also omit the vanilla if you don’t have it .
🍪In Another bowl Sift the flour, baking powder , baking soda , salt and mix lightly till combined . Don’t over mix. Just till
Combined like a cookie dough .
Scoop with an ice cream scoop on a baking sheet ( a lil far apart ) and bake at 175*C for 12- 15mins . Let it cool and enjoy !
👉🏼 store in airtight container
👉🏼always measure in a measuring cup . Tap the cup after filling it to level out to make sure you have the right amount . ESP with the flour.
👉🏼scoop in on baking paper
👉🏼Place the scoops a lil far apart as they will melt and flatten .
👉🏼 every oven temp is different . Don’t over bake. Just till the cracks come . Don’t open the oven door too many times .
👉🏼 don’t over mix the dough after adding the flour
👉🏼you can rest the cookie dough in a cling film for 20 mins in the fridge . I didn’t because I have impatient kids 🤣
👉🏼do this with your kids and make a mess and have fun that’s what it’s all about ❤️

👉🏼Wax Crayon Diwali Kandeel
You need:
*Cello ColourUP Wax Crayons
*Cello ColourUP Sketch pens
*Tracing paper/Butter Paper
*4 Popsicle Sticks
*Glue and an Iron
*Grater
*Led Diyas
🎈Cut out four pieces of tracing paper: 5 inches by 10 inches in size👉🏼Fold them into half 👉🏼Grate fun colours of the Cello ColourUP wax crayons on one half of the paper👉🏼Put glue on the other three sides and close it. Do this to all four pieces.
🎈Now take your iron and gently iron out the pieces and watch the wax inside melt to form a pretty design!
🎈Use your Cello ColourUP Sketch pens to make designs on the popsicle sticks. Use glue to fix the tracing papers on the popsicle sticks as shown in the video. Put one or two led diyas in the middle!
..and Ta-da your Diwali kandeels are ready! 🎈
