I’m so honored and proud to be an Official Ambassador of the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games!
The Special Olympics mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic- type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic athletes and the community.
Besides sports programming, what other programs does Special Olympics offer?
Through the Healthy Athlete program, Special Olympics conducts about 200,000 health screenings for athletes annually. In addition, the Unified Leadership program teaches leaders of all abilities to value and learn from each other and create environments where people with intellectual disabilities succeed in meaningful roles.
What is the Special Olympics global reach?
Special Olympics has over 6 million athletes and Unified Partners in over 193 countries.
