I tried to hide myself behind a comfortable, baggy hoodie every day for years because I believed that it hid me from the world. I don’t wear that hoodie anymore.
Figured it was time for a new profile picture. I took 58 near-identical snaps to get one that appeared casual and uncontrived. Don’t tell anyone.
It grows back.

Haven’t posted a photo since lockdown began, oops. Anyone else spent the past 3 1/2 months focussed on mental stability and not self-improvement? Would love to say I’ll be coming out the other side of this a better, fitter, wiser person but I’d honestly settle for “stable”.
I’ve spent too much of my life not celebrating Christmas to ever truly understand the magic of it but there’s one thing I’ve always loved and that’s the decorations. Love those twinkly mofos.

Little bit of sun to (hopefully) help me unwind a little before getting back to it. Keep catching myself falling into the trap of blaming YouTube and the passage of time for my dwindling success online when it’s 90% me slacking off and not creating enough good shit. Need to step it up, get some great work out there, and try my hardest.

Had a lovely time in Glasgow again! Meeting you, the people who make my career a possibility, is always an incredibly humbling experience. I figured the more people I met at cons, the more arrogant I’d become, but the realty is this opposite. Seeing all the numbers that I’m so very desensitised to turn back into real people is mind blowing and really reminds me why I love what I do. Thank you for making this real. Also I felt really good about myself in this photo so I cropped out the fella I took it with so I could post it here (sorry Connor lol you were really nice though).
2020 has made filmmaking a challenge – to say the least – but I still wanted to make at least one visually impressive video this year. That’s why we drove 600 miles for the privilege of shooting with Brutus here. No photo can really do all 8’6″ of him justice. The team at @cybersteinrobots were brilliant and their work is incredible. A huge thank you to everyone who made ‘The Impostor’ a reality. Give it a watch on TomSka now; if you’d like to, that is.
