There’s a little filmmaking competition that happens every year called @indiafilmproject
Basically you get 50 hours to write a script (based on the theme given), direct, edit and submit the final product at the end of 50 hours.
“Road to Thumba” had many challenges. From starting a day late to losing a location thanks to covid. Practically we shot it on the day of submission. We had no hopes of even submitting in time, but we managed. Scraped through. 😅
And that was enough. The whole process was so exhilarating!! 😁 With this amazing team that trusted me and worked under so much pressure! 😁

Post covid milestone!
It was nice to go back to watch a movie on a big screen!
As you can see, there was no crowd on a Saturday night.
I think maybe 3 other people watched the movie with us at the screen.
Waiting to go back to days when you have to make Saturday night movie plans well in advance to get tickets! When there’s hooting and cheering for trailers played during the intervals, singing along to ad jingles(y’all know who you are 😛), the long lines for popcorn seasoning!

This is my dad, trying scuba diving for the first time at the age of 62! Leading by example. Living each day like there is no tomorrow. For teaching me how important physical health is. For letting me fall and learn from my mistakes. For believing in me. For showing me what kindness and love feels like, thank you! I consider myself lucky for having my dad for a friend, philosopher, guide.
Forever grateful to 2020 for giving me the chance to spend the entire lockdown with my folks. It went way better than I had thought.
