Unity, empathy, and decency are not characteristics of a bygone era. Congratulations President-elect @JoeBiden and Vice President-elect @KamalaHarris. By voting in record numbers, the American people proved again that our democracy is strong.
There have been a number of sickening but not surprising responses in my inbox since my last post. This sort of hate shouldn’t be allowed to hide in the shadows. It’s important to make it visible. This is just one example of the problem.
And, Dave, you’re the kind of customer I’m happy to lose.
My siblings and I surprised our mom today. We revealed the name of the @BlueOrigin landing ship. We named it after her — the Jacklyn.
New Glenn’s first stage will come home to the Jacklyn after every flight. It couldn’t be more appropriately named — Mom has always given us the best place and best heart to come home to.

I’ve spent the past several months learning from a group of incredibly smart people who’ve made it their life’s work to fight climate change and its impact on communities around the world. I’m inspired by what they’re doing, and excited to help them scale. Today, I’m pleased to announce the first Bezos Earth Fund recipients—16 organizations working on innovative, ambitious, and needle-moving solutions. This $791 million in donations is just the beginning of my $10 billion commitment to fund scientists, activists, NGOs, and others. We can all protect Earth’s future by taking bold action now.

Huge kudos to the @BlueOrigin and @NASA teams for today’s successful mission. Seven consecutive trips to space and back for this particular vehicle. We’re testing precision lunar landing technologies for future missions in support of the Artemis program. Another step toward returning to the Moon — this time to stay. #GradatimFerociter
This is the engine that will take the first woman to the surface of the Moon. The BE-7 is a high-performance, additively manufactured liquid hydrogen/liquid oxygen lunar landing engine with 10,000 lbf of thrust — deep throttling down to 2,000 lbf for a precise landing on the Moon. The engine will power @BlueOrigin’s National Team HLS lunar lander. Video is from a test this week at @NASA Marshall in Huntsville, Alabama — bringing cumulative test time on the program to 1,245 seconds. #Artemis #GradatimFerociter
I’m excited to announce that Amazon has bought the naming rights to the historic Seattle arena previously known as KeyArena. Instead of calling it Amazon Arena, we’re naming it Climate Pledge Arena as a regular reminder of the urgent need for climate action. It will be the first net zero carbon certified arena in the world, generate zero waste from operations and events, and use reclaimed rainwater in the ice system to create the greenest ice in the NHL. #ClimatePledge
